BioWare revealed the schedule for the in-game events taking place during the month of October 2020!

The official reveal for the in-game events in SWTOR for the month of October came a little late this time around. There was no information as to what caused the delay, but my assumption is that it may have been related to the October 20 launch date planned for Game Update 6.1.4.

Let’s take a look at what you and me can farm in October and what prizes and rewards await us in the game from the special rotational events available this month.

Reilics of the Gree

SWTOR Relics of the Gree Conquest EventSWTOR Relics of the Gree Conquest Event

The Gree are paying another visit to the Ilum’s landscapes to allow you to farm some more of their reputation. The Gree event is one of the oldest currently included in the monthly and by-monthly rotation.

Starting today, October 6, and ending a week later on October 13 you can explore Ilum’s contested area in the Western Ice Shelf, which was once known as SWTOR’s Open World PvP map. Ah, good times… laggy times, buggy times.

As usual the Relics of the Gree event will be accompanied by a special Conquest event that will offer you unique objectives related to Ilum and the new missions opened there for this week.

  • Date: October 6 – October 13, 2020 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 11:00AM PDT/6:00PM UTC)
  • Requirement: Level 50+

Explore Ilum’s contested area in the Western Ice Shelf to uncover the mysterious purpose of the Gray Secant, an enormous ancient Gree starship. Get ready to face a powerful opponent that awaits you at the center of this ancient vessel. Visit the in-game News Terminal located on Carrick Station in the Republic fleet or Vaiken Spacedock in the Imperial fleet to get started on your adventure!

  • White, Red, and Blue Scalene Armor

Feast of Prosperity

Launching together with Game Update 6.1.4 on October 20th, the Feast of Prosperity is a brand new seasonal event. It will last until November 10th.

The Feast of Prosperity will only appear once per year, like the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife. It is actually a mix between Nightlife and the regular weekly events.

The new event will offer some strange at first glance activities. The event revolves around non-combat activities such as preparing food and serving it to angry hungry customers. This doesn’t mean it will lack challenges!

The starter mission is on the Fleet, right outside the Bazaar. Talk to the NPC there, who will send you off to Nar Shaddaa… of course. The two large hutts will have to convince you that they are doing this feast with the most purest of intentions.

As you progress through the event, you will learn some of the more interesting secrets around it. Each week a new quest from the main storyline will open up and to keep you interested and engaged a bunch of dailies will also be available.

Expect a full guide for the event shortly after the patch is released. And until then you can test it on PTS (whenever the server is actually up).

  • Date: October 20th – November 10th, 2020 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 11:00AM PDT/6:00PM UTC)
  • Requirement: Level 20+

Over the years, the Hutt Cartel’s reputation has taken a hit. The once powerful organization no longer instills respect and fear. To restore the Cartel’s influence, two up-and-coming Hutts, Gaboorga the Abundant and Duuba the Magnanimous, are throwing the most lavish “charitable banquet” in history for the galaxy’s underprivileged. And if the Cartel happens to advance their business interests during the Feast, everyone wins!

If Gaboorga and Duuba can cooperate, they could rocket the Cartel back into the upper echelons of the galactic underworld. But the Hutts’ conflicting priorities means they’re constantly undermining each other. Each week a new Story Mission will unlock to progress this storyline, leading to the climatic choice during the third and final week: Gaboorga or Duuba? Only one Hutt can win, and the fate of the Feast of Prosperity is at stake. Choose wisely!

Rakghoul Resurgence on Tatooine

SWTOR Rakghoul Resurgence Event on TatooineSWTOR Rakghoul Resurgence Event on Tatooine

Another very old event that makes its usual pass through the live servers in October is the Rakghoul plague. This time the tunnels under Tatooine’s surface will open up to spawn nasty rakghouls and monsters for you to defeat and gain reputation.

The event will run from October 20th until October 27th. It is available to all players of level 25 or higher.

It should come as no surprise that the event will be bound once again to the related Conquest event for the Rakghoul resurgence.

  • Date: October 20 – October 27, 2020 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 11:00AM PDT/6:00PM UTC)
  • Requirement: Levels 25+

The Hyland Organization for Rakghoul Neutralization (T.H.O.R.N.) has issued an official level-2 emergency alert concerning an outbreak of the Rakghoul plague on Tatooine. Quarantines have been put in place to restrict traffic of the plague off-world, but exceptions will be made for individuals with priority clearance.

T.H.O.R.N. is recruiting qualified volunteer emergency responders to travel to affected areas to combat the spread of the Rakghoul plague. More information about the outbreak can be found by checking the News Terminals on the Republic or Imperial Fleet!

T.H.O.R.N. wishes to remind you that plague symptoms can be treated if they are identified in the early stages of infection. Whether or not you have travel plans, please consult your nearest trusted medical supply droid and get vaccinated!
