BioWare revealed the schedule for the SWTOR in-game events for the month of September: Rakghouls return to Alderaan and Gree reappear on Ilum!

Most of you probably don’t like September for some reason. The most obvious one being that the Summer Season ends and school/work begins.

September 2021 will be a bit empty from in-game events in SWTOR as well. BioWare has only scheduled two and both are very old recurring events that veteran players know very well.

Rakghoul Resurgence on Alderaan

Rakghouls will show up above and below the surface once again. This time the tunnels beneath Alderaan’s surface will open up to allow this plague to trouble T.H.O.R.N for one week in the first half of the month.

SWTOR Rakghoul Resurgence event
  • Date: September 7 – September 14, 2021 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 5:00AM PST/12:00PM GMT)
  • Requirement: Levels 25+

The Hyland Organization for Rakghoul Neutralization (T.H.O.R.N.) has issued an official level-2 emergency alert concerning an outbreak of the Rakghoul plague on Alderaan. Quarantines have been put in place to restrict traffic of the plague off-world, but exceptions will be made for individuals with priority clearance.

T.H.O.R.N. is recruiting qualified volunteer emergency responders to travel to affected areas to combat the spread of the Rakghoul plague. More information about the outbreak can be found by checking the News Terminals on the Republic or Imperial Fleet!

If you still have some reputation to farm or items to purchase, head to Alderaan and hunt down as many of these zombie-like monsters.

Relics of the Gree

I’ve always had special place for Relics of the Gree in my heart. I farmed everything I could ever want in terms of vendor prices and reputation in the first two weeks when the event first released, but I continue to revisit Ilum each time the Gree come back.

Ilum is my favorite planet in SWTOR and I enjoy going there for whatever small reason. On top of that the now-long-deserted PvP area in the Western Ice Shelf only ever sees people these days if the Gree ship arrives.

I miss the idea of the organized open-world PvP on Ilum. Despite the fact that it’s been so many years since BioWare officially gave up on redesigning and fixing the environment, goals and bugs related to this gameplay mode.

  • Date: September 21 – September 28, 2021 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 5:00AM PST/12:00PM GMT)
  • Requirement: Level 50+

Explore Ilum’s contested area in the Western Ice Shelf to uncover the mysterious purpose of the Gray Secant, an enormous ancient Gree starship. Get ready to face a powerful opponent that awaits you at the center of this ancient vessel. Visit the in-game News Terminal located on Carrick Station in the Republic fleet or Vaiken Spacedock in the Imperial fleet to get started on your adventure!
