BioWare has announced the SWTOR in-game events for April 2022. The roster includes the Rakghoul Resurgence on Alderaan and Relics of the Gree!
If I tell you that this month there are only two events set to return in SWTOR, what would be your first thought? It’s February! The shorter month of the year. But it’s April!
Rakghoul Resurgence on Alderaan
The Rakghouls in SWTOR are like Fall leaves on your lawn. We clear the tunnels, fix the problem and hope things stay alright for good. But we know that the Rakghouls will return and we will have to do it all over again.
In April you will be able to farm some Rakghouls and enjoy all of the side effects that accompany their return from April 5th until April 12th. The start and end times are 12:00 GMT. The event allows only players of level 25 or higher to participate.
“The Hyland Organization for Rakghoul Neutralization (T.H.O.R.N.) has issued an official level-2 emergency alert concerning an outbreak of the Rakghoul plague on Alderaan. Quarantines have been put in place to restrict traffic of the plague off-world, but exceptions will be made for individuals with priority clearance.
T.H.O.R.N. is recruiting qualified volunteer emergency responders to travel to affected areas to combat the spread of the Rakghoul plague. More information about the outbreak can be found by checking the News Terminals on the Republic or Imperial Fleet!
T.H.O.R.N. wishes to remind you that plague symptoms can be treated if they are identified in the early stages of infection. Whether or not you have travel plans, please consult your nearest trusted medical supply droid and get vaccinated!”

Relics of the Gree
I had a chat with someone a few days ago where I shared with a bit of sadness in my voice that I sometimes regret the fact that I will never get to be a new player in SWTOR again. Every single time the Gree event arrives at Ilum, I feel that way. Sad, because this is my favorite planet and this event was truly amazing, diverse and fun to farm when it first appeared.
Its secret droid achievement was also fun. And last, but not least, the time Ilum started hosting this event, we were still trying to have Open World PvP there. I loved those. I didn’t so much love the queues we sometimes had to form around the middle.
Today I have completed every possible aspect of it. The Gree have nothing more they can give me. Except for the usual farm for the sake of farming.
In April the Gree will return to Ilum on the 19th and will fly off with the knowledge and information you have provided for them on the 26th. The start and end times are, as usual, 12:00 GMT. The Gree event is accessible only for characters of level 50 or higher. Ilum is a high-level planet after all. Or… more like a mid-level in 2022.
“Explore Ilum’s contested area in the Western Ice Shelf to uncover the mysterious purpose of the Gray Secant, an enormous ancient Gree starship. Get ready to face a powerful opponent that awaits you at the center of this ancient vessel. Visit the in-game News Terminal located on Carrick Station in the Republic fleet or Vaiken Spacedock in the Imperial fleet to get started on your adventure!”

The events dates and timings are sourced from BioWare’s official announcement on swtor.com.
That’s it. Only two events. And both of them are among the oldest ones that have been running for years and years. It appears that BioWare decided to stop promoting the special Anniversary vendor as an event.
On the bright side, SWTOR 7.0.2 is shaping up to be an interesting patch and the dev team continues to add new refinements and new content to the SWTOR 7.1 PTS.
We’ve got the Weapons and Outfit on PTS now. The new R-4 Anomaly Operation is getting frequent PTS patches with fixes and balance, although it’s not yet fully available and playable normally. The only major new feature still missing is the new Manaan Daily Area.
In case you have missed it, Game Designer Director Chris Schmidt recently posted a lengthy post on the SWTOR forums revealing interesting insights into the Level Sync process for the Legacy of the Sith and how these changes will affect future game updates.
